APEL Blue-line pivot mounts: In 2019, the famous and renowned German mount manufacturer APEL-EAW introduced a new system of mounts under the name BLUE-LINE. Their main feature is that they are more economical than this German manufacturer's traditional product. This does not mean that quality has been compromised, as this new range of mounts uses the same materials, the same manufacturing tools, and the same quality controls.The secret to all this lies in the design of the front foot and its simplified manufacturing process. In the traditional model, the foot and ring are a single piece, obtained from the complex machining of a steel block. Later, the foot and ring are cut, obtaining two pieces that fit together perfectly, but which are not interchangeable with others due to small differences. In the traditional system, the perfect fit of the parts provides unusual rigidity and structural solidity.
Conversely, in the case of the BLUE-LINE family, the foot and ring are two different pieces, which are machined more easily and quickly from two blocks of steel.
APEL-EAW, thanks to the precision of these mounts, guarantees that the scope will maintain its zero, even after hundreds of shots. Furthermore, it should be noted that the material used is the same steel. It should also be mentioned that there are small differences from the traditional model regarding the finish and polishing.
