The Maxus is a benchmark for hunters around the world. Its particularly smooth recoil and quick-loading system make it a unique weapon that offers both comfort and high performance in equal measure. The Maxus 2 leverages the advantages of its predecessor with new technical features to provide hunters with a unique shooting experience.
Before developing this virtuous shotgun for waterfowl and open-field hunting, we conducted an extensive survey to find out exactly what hunters want. The results show that they are looking for a semi-automatic shotgun that offers exceptional performance, especially in terms of handling, comfort, versatility, and ergonomics.

INVECTOR PLUS
Speed load
The quick-loading feature has been popular in Browning semi-automatics for decades. Our patented Speed Load Plus loading and unloading system sends the first cartridge from the magazine directly into the chamber, and unloads quickly without having to chamber each cartridge using the bolt.
Magazine cutoff
All Maxus models, with the exception of Sporting models, are equipped with a magazine cutoff so that the shooter can easily unload the chamber, and thus change the type of cartridge without having to feed a cartridge from the magazine into the chamber.
Power Drive Gas System
The Power Drive Gas system uses large exhaust valves to more quickly remove unneeded gas. A new, patented design for an integrated exhaust valve keeps residue out of the mechanism for cleaner operation. The piston has a 20% longer stroke to make it more reliable with light loads. The system operates with loads from 24 to 64 g.
Back-Bored Barrel
The principle of the Back-bored™ barrel is to increase the barrel's bore diameter and lengthen the connection cone, which provides three advantages: increased velocity, better penetration/patterning of the pellets, and reduced recoil.
