The Maxus is a reference for hunters all over the world. Its particularly smooth recoil and quick-loading system make it a unique weapon that offers comfort and high performance in equal measure. Before developing this virtuous shotgun for waterfowl and open-field hunting, we conducted an extensive survey to find out exactly what hunters want. INVECTOR PLUS
Speed load
The speed load function has been popular on Browning semi-automatics for decades. Our patented Speed Load Plus loading and unloading system sends the first cartridge from the magazine directly into the chamber, and unloads quickly without having to chamber each cartridge using the bolt.
Magazine cutoff
All Maxus models, with the exception of the Sporting models, are equipped with a magazine cutoff so that the shooter can easily unload the chamber and thus change the cartridge type without having to cycle a cartridge from the magazine into the chamber.
Power Drive Gas System
The Power Drive Gas system uses large exhaust valves to eliminate unnecessary gas more quickly. A new patented design for an integrated exhaust valve keeps residue out of the mechanism for cleaner operation. The piston has a 20% longer travel, making it more reliable with light loads. The system operates with 24 to 64 g loads.
Back-Bored Barrel
The Back-bored™ barrel principle consists of increasing the barrel bore diameter and lengthening the forcing cone, which provides three advantages: increased velocity, better pellet penetration/patterning, and reduced recoil.
