Sauer SL5 XT Optifade semi-automatic shotgun

The Sauer SL5 XT Optifade semi-automatic shotgun is a specialized variant of the SL5 XT series, designed specifically for bird hunting with optimized camouflage. This model incorporates the Optifade camouflage pattern, which helps the weapon visually “blend in” with vegetation or a hunting blind, reducing the likelihood that the bird will detect the firearm when shouldered.

Like other models in the SL5 family, the Optifade features the proven inertial (“Inertia”) operating system, which ensures smooth and reliable cycling with different types of cartridges without the need for gas adjustments. Furthermore, the enlarged controls, such as the bolt handle and safety, are designed to be operated safely even while wearing gloves, which is useful for hunting in cold climates or when wearing bulky clothing.
