The BUSHNELL TRANSITION 3x MAGNIFIER is this North American manufacturer’s offering within its AR OPTICS line. This product range includes tactical sights and accessories, which are especially characterized by their robustness.

The issue with reflex-technology red dots is that the magnifier not only increases the image of the target, but also increases the size of the red dot or reticle used by the same proportion. For small, distant targets, this can make the enlarged dot excessively large, potentially obscuring the target. This does NOT happen with holographic sights, whose reticle size remains unchanged with or without a magnifier. This circumstance does not diminish its usefulness, although I would personally recommend using it with a sight featuring a 2 or 3 MOA dot.

As is standard, this magnifier comes with an ambidextrous, flip-to-side mount. This allows us to use this device like a quick on/off switch at our convenience, depending on the shooting distance. With some practice, it is possible to internalize the movement and perform it very quickly. It is a 3x fixed-power magnifier that is a perfect match for the BUSHNELL TROPHY 1x25 TRS-25, although it can be placed behind any red dot from another manufacturer. Another one of its strengths against the competition is its excellent value for money.

A magnifier fills the gap between a red dot and a traditional optic, which a shooter will inevitably miss at some point while operating their weapon. Sooner or later, a little magnification will be necessary to reach a bit further. This TRANSITION model comes with excellent, clear glass and an ocular adjustment to keep the reticle or red dot sharp. Its lenses are fully multi-coated, providing clear and bright image transmission. There are even small adjustment turrets on the magnifier to center the red dot and mitigate parallax.
