We present the revolutionary Pulsar Krypton 2 XG50, the ultimate companion for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts. Building on the success of its predecessor, the Krypton 2 is packed with cutting-edge features and improved performance to elevate your outdoor experience to new heights.
Compact and balanced design
On a hunting trip, every extra gram of gear matters. The Krypton 2 allows for comfortable and simple use. With a short-sized, lightweight design and an even weight distribution, the attachment has minimal impact on the balance of the "weapon-optics" setup when mounted on the objective of an optical riflescope, while at the same time, the attachment's controls are easy to reach.
Robust magnesium alloy housing
Its robust and lightweight magnesium alloy housing has high structural strength, protecting the Krypton 2 camera from shock and vibration loads and is resistant to external mechanical, temperature, and climatic effects. The magnesium alloy housing effectively removes and dissipates heat from the thermal imaging camera's electronic components, increasing the operational stability of the device.
Maximum energy efficiency. Up to 11 hours of operation on a single battery charge
The quick-change IPS7 lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack provides enough power for up to 11 hours of uninterrupted operation. With a single battery pack, the unit can operate all night without needing a change. A wireless, quick-release design with long-lasting battery life are the main features of its power system.
Rapid transformation from clip-on to 3x thermal monocular
It takes a few seconds and the new Pulsar 3x20B compact monocular to convert the Krypton 2 into a 3x thermal imaging device. The bayonet connection ensures that the Krypton 2 is quickly and easily transformed from an attachment to a thermal imaging monocular and vice-versa in field conditions.
Ergonomic Bluetooth remote control
The Pulsar BT wireless Bluetooth remote control completely replicates the standard buttons. The remote control is characterized by excellent ergonomics: the buttons activate the most requested functions, while the device's fine-tuning and menu navigation parameters are adjusted by rotating or pressing the encoder. The design, size, position of the buttons, and encoder are adapted for use with both bare hands and gloves. The hunter needs to make minimal movements to control the attachment and maintain maximum concentration on the hunting task itself, with the remote control placed in any convenient position on the front or the stock of the rifle.
Adaptable user interface
A new feature of Pulsar thermal imaging cameras is the adaptation of the graphical user interface. The device menu and status bar positions are scaled by the user to a comfortable view when changing the magnification of the daytime scope to see current information about the status of the attachment and operate with the menu across a significant range of magnifications.
Full-HD multicolor AMOLED display
The new FHD multicolor AMOLED display is characterized by high contrast, a wide dynamic range, and energy savings. The fast response time ensures a sharp and smooth image when observing in motion or in freezing conditions.
Quick-release PSP-B with precise screen positioning mechanism
The thermal imaging attachment is mounted to the adapter via a four-point bayonet. The bayonet coupling is very reliable, in addition to being quick and easy to attach. The attachment is removed from one adapter and installed on another without the need for special tools, allowing for the quick and easy conversion of various daytime optics in the hunter's arsenal into thermal imaging optics. A precise screen positioning mechanism allows for the perfect alignment of the thermal or night vision image in the field of view of the daytime optics for maximum viewing comfort.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
Ready for .375 H&H
The Krypton 2 front adapters feature high shock resistance, allowing them to be used with large-caliber hunting rifles such as 9.3х64, .30-06, .300, .375, etc., as well as with smooth-bore and airsoft weapons.
Point-of-impact stability
Krypton 2 allows focusing on rapid target capture and shot placement in low-light conditions without the need for complicated adjustments, thanks to the sequential layout of optical and electronic components that were designed to provide precise alignment and very easy adjustment. The clip-on scope ensures point-of-impact stability in cases of refocusing the scope for different distances.
3 levels of amplification sensitivity
Selecting the signal amplification level, combined with new filtering algorithms with fine adjustments for brightness and contrast, offers the hunter excellent conditions for long-range observation in various weather and temperature conditions. Amplification adjustment helps define the features of the trophy animal and ensures a clear representation of objects and the background in the field of view.
Fast-aperture germanium lenses
The F50/1.0 and F35/1.0 germanium lenses are characterized by high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. Thanks to the high-precision manufacturing of the lens's optical elements, the image generated by the sensor of the Krypton 2 thermal attachment is distinguished by its sharpness and detail.
Weaver rail mounting
Use the PSP-V adapter to mount the Krypton onto a Weaver rail in front of a daytime scope. For better pairing with optical riflescopes, the adapter offers two mounting height positions depending on the objective size of the scope and the mounting height. The PSP-V is a quick-release adapter; the attachment, along with the adapter, is instantly mounted onto and removed from the rail thanks to the single-point locking lever assembly. The adapter comes with a silicone cover to protect the scope objective from ambient light.
Built-in photo and video recorder
The Krypton 2 features a built-in video recorder. The internal memory of the Krypton 2 can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. Simply press a button to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording a video.
Stream Vision 2. Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android devices
Integrated Wi-Fi connects the Krypton 2 with Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a wide range of options, such as wireless device software updates, real-time image streaming from the device to a smartphone screen, posting photo and video content captured by the device to social media or transferring it to messaging apps, remote control of digital device functions, and access to the latest Pulsar news. Additionally, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.
Dual-band Wi-Fi frequency support 2.4 / 5 GHz
The standard frequency range for smartphone connection via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel is complemented by an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers greater bandwidth, a faster data transfer rate, noise immunity, and improved connection stability, which results in more productive and simple operation of the thermal imaging camera with a smartphone.
A selection of 8 color palettes
A selection of 8 color palettes allows the user to observe their field of view more effectively, enabling them to optimize the unit for specific tasks and react to changes in observation conditions. White hot, black hot, and red hot are the optimal colors for object detection, while rainbow and ultramarine help increase the chances of recognition and identification. Red monochrome, sepia, and violet are best suited for long-range night observation.
IPX7 immersion waterproof rating
The IPX7 waterproof rating protects against heavy rain, snow, or other precipitation. The Krypton 2 is designed to operate seamlessly, even after being submerged in water for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 m.
Wide operating temperature range (-25 to +50°C)
The housing, power unit, optics, and electronics of the Krypton 2 clip-on scope are designed to operate in a wide temperature range. The Krypton 2 guarantees safe and effective operation in low temperatures down to -25°C.
High-definition thermal imaging
The European-made 12 µm / 640x480 pixel thermal sensor ensures a sharp, contrast-rich thermal image for better identification of animals, their extremities, and even the smallest details, i.e., branches, leaves, grass, and terrain.
Extra-long 2300 m detection range
The powerful objective lens combined with a professional-grade 12 µm HD thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capability. A standard 1.8 m tall object can be detected at a distance of 2300 m in complete darkness.
