The PFN640+ is the smallest multi-purpose thermal imaging monocular based on the new 12 µm sensor.
The combination of a 50 Hz refresh rate and the latest 12 µm sensor with a 640 × 512 pixel resolution ensures a sharp image.
Resistance to adverse weather conditions such as fog, rain, snowfall, or large temperature fluctuations from -45°C to +55°C does not affect the device's performance.
The PLF has two display modes: handheld or clip-on.
The clip-on mode and helmet-mounted mode are identical. The image is reduced to show a 1x representation. When the RH25 is set to handheld mode, the image is magnified 1.3x. With the 1.3x image display, the section of the image is round. The display also features an inclinometer and a digital compass.
The PLF has three simple buttons.
Power, Menu, and Image. These keys have different functions depending on how long you press them. When you press the power button, the device turns on. Pressing and holding the button when it is on will bring up a menu to turn off the device. If you press the power button briefly, the sensor will recalibrate. The center menu button allows you to press briefly to open the options menu. A long press switches from handheld mode to clip-on mode. Press the image button briefly to take a photo. A long press records a video.
On the side is a 7-pin Fischer connector. The PLF comes with a split USB/BNC video output cable. The USB port is used to download images and videos. The BNC video output is used to output the thermal image via a mini DVR.
Standard 18650 batteries are used for operation.
Thanks to the 2x and 4x digital zoom, lenses can also be perfectly observed and identified at long distances.
Thanks to the 25 mm lens, the PLF can be used for both close-ups and long-distance use.
