With the ZEISS DTI 4 family, thermal imaging quality reaches another level to help hunters identify game more accurately and reliably. Building on the features of the DTI 3 GEN 2, the DTI 4 is primarily distinguished by its high-resolution 640 x 512 px sensor with a 12 μm pixel pitch.
This allows for superior image quality at all zoom levels and an even greater detection range, for improved detail recognition and a sharp, high-contrast image at longer distances. For this reason, the DTI 4s are offered in two focal lengths: DTI 4/35 and DTI 4/50.
With a 35mm focal length, the ZEISS DTI 4/35 thermal imaging monocular offers a particularly long detection range of over 1,800m for successful localization at long distances.
ZEISS DTI 4/35: For optimal and consistent performance. Wide field of view for more detail.
Nature never sleeps. And the passion for observing it doesn't rest either. Although experienced birdwatchers already have a wealth of knowledge, having the right equipment is essential for absolute certainty. The ZEISS DTI 4 is a developed thermal monocular that always performs at its best. With its compact size, a high-resolution 640 × 512 sensor, and ZSIP, it offers detailed, high-contrast image quality anywhere, even at long range.
The ZEISS DTI 4/35 is the ideal thermal monocular for observation in brush and wooded areas. Thanks to its wide field of view of 26 meters at 100 meters in combination with its best-in-class image processing quality, the ZEISS DTI 4/35 allows you to detect heat sources in full detail even when observing in the darkest areas.
High detail recognition with the 640 x 512 px sensor
The new 640 x 512 sensor offers higher image resolution for better image quality at all zoom levels, as well as a greater detection range with less noise at the same zoom level compared to a smaller sensor. The result is greater detail detection at longer distances.
Intelligent sleep mode for longer battery life
In nature, the nearest power source is usually far away. Normally, a portable charger is needed to ensure the device doesn't run out of power, which means extra weight and gear to consider. With an impressive 7-hour battery life, the DTI 4 models will hold enough charge for two to four days of birdwatching. Extend battery life even further by activating the intelligent sleep function.
Three observation modes for any situation
Different environmental conditions require different device settings. The DTI 4 has three pre-programmed observation modes: "Universal", "Detect", and "Fog". The "Detect" mode, for example, highlights heat sources even more by reducing the cold background. This allows you to see animals behind trees and bushes better than before.
Exclusive movement alert
The movement alert tracks the hottest heat sources in the image and alerts the user if they move. The LED on the top of the unit begins to flash or, optionally, the screen turns on. This way, it is possible to monitor a large area without having to hold the monocular the entire time.
8 distinct color modes
ZEISS thermal monoculars offer 8 different color modes, so you can select the configuration that best suits your needs. "Black hot" and "white hot" provide high-contrast images. When observing areas with dense vegetation, "red hot" allows for the rapid detection of heat sources. The "Rainbow" color mode is perfect for identifying minimal temperature differences. In addition, four of the color modes have been redesigned to reduce screen glare in dark environments and eye strain. "Red Hue" mode makes it easier for our eyes to adapt to darkness. "Dark Hue" is easier on the eyes because it uses low-luminance colors. "Green Hue" shows a great deal of detail with low screen brightness, and "Night Eye" highlights the hottest areas in the thermal image in a pleasant sepia tone.
Movement alert
The ZEISS DTI 3 GEN 2 and DTI 4 movement alert notifies you via a discreet LED signal on the top of the device or by activating the screen when a heat source moves in the image.
High frame rate
ZEISS DTI cameras have a frame rate of 50 Hz. This refers to the number of times per second your monitor can refresh the screen. A higher frame rate on the screen means less image flickering, which reduces eye strain during hours of stalking.
Hot Tracking
In 'Hot Tracking' mode, the hottest source in the image is framed in a red box. This makes finding heat sources in areas of dense vegetation and tracking them easier.
Shortcuts
Thanks to the shortcuts available on the DTI 3 GEN 2 and the 4, it is possible to access most functions without having to open the menu. Pre-programmed button combinations allow you to control a large number of settings with just a few clicks, such as taking photos or recording videos, and switching between different modes.
Picture-in-picture (PiP)
The ZEISS DTI picture-in-picture function allows you to superimpose the zoomed image over the visual image. This feature helps keep your eyes on the animal you are observing in zoom mode, even when it moves suddenly.
Compass overlay
You can use the compass overlay to determine the direction of the bird being observed or to orient yourself. This can be especially useful for navigation, or if you go birdwatching with company and want to coordinate your different locations and observations.
Customizable settings
Hunting can be a very individual activity. In the case of thermal monoculars, every hunter has their preferences. That's why the new DTI now offers the ability to select exactly which color modes should be active and which should not, so you only have to click through the ones you want to use. The same goes for the zoom level setting. Now, you can limit the maximum zoom level to your preferences.
