APEL Blue-line pivoting mounts
The renowned and reputable German mount manufacturer APEL-EAW introduced a new system of mounts in 2019 under the name BLUE-LINE. Their main feature is that they are more economical than the traditional product from this German manufacturer. This does not mean that quality has been compromised, as this new range of mounts uses the same materials, the same manufacturing tools, and the same quality controls.
The secret behind this lies in the design of the front foot and its simplified manufacturing process. In the traditional model, the foot and ring are a single piece obtained from the complex machining of a steel block. Subsequently, the foot and ring are cut to obtain two pieces with an absolutely perfect fit, though they are not interchangeable with others due to minor differences. In the traditional system, the perfect fit of the parts provides unusual rigidity and structural solidity.
Conversely, in the case of the BLUE-LINE family, the foot and ring are two different pieces, which are machined more easily and quickly from two blocks of steel.
APEL-EAW, thanks to the precision of these mounts, guarantees the maintenance of the scope's zero, even after hundreds of shots. Furthermore, it should be noted that the material used is the same steel. It is also worth mentioning that there are small differences from the traditional model regarding finish and polishing.
