SAX
SAX KDG lead-free hunting ammunition
Caliber
Cereales
SAX KDG lead-free hunting ammunition features a monolithic, deforming copper projectile. Its hollow point with a polymer insert is designed to expand the frontal surface upon impact and transfer energy efficiently without resorting to fragmentation.
SAX sets the start of deformation at around 500 m/s and the mass retention limit at around 880 m/s. Within that range, the KDG-S remains practically stable in mass and leaves no fragments in the game.
Main features
Controlled deformation without fragmentation
The frontal cavity compresses to form a large-diameter mushroom, increasing the effective surface area for energy transfer.
Monolithic copper projectile
Lead-free construction with driving bands and a polymer tip.
Wide operating range
Deformation begins at approximately 500 m/s, and SAX indicates mass retention up to about 880 m/s.
Hunting precision
The profile and driving band technology are oriented toward a flat trajectory and precision comparable to the KJG.
