The Beretta APX A1 Tactical is the specific configuration of the APX A1 platform developed to offer greater customization possibilities. It maintains the Striker Fired system, the modular stainless steel chassis, and the ergonomics of the APX A1 Full Size, with the main difference being an extended, threaded 125 mm barrel.

Its total length increases to 210 mm, compared to 192 mm for the conventional APX A1, while the weight is approximately 830 g. It retains the 17-round magazine and 9 × 19 mm caliber.

125 mm Threaded Barrel
The most distinctive feature of the Tactical is its 125 mm (4.92") threaded barrel, which is considerably longer than the 108 mm barrel of the conventional Full Size.
Tactical Configuration
The combination of the extended barrel, optic readiness, and frame with a front rail provides greater configuration possibilities than the conventional APX A1.
Striker Fired System
