The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C 3-Dot 4” is a 9mm compact semi-automatic pistol developed on the modular Echelon platform. This version combines a compact format with a 4-inch (101.6 mm) barrel, an optics-ready slide, and a Tritium 3-Dot sight system, offering a modern, manageable configuration prepared for sport shooting, compact duty use, and professional application in accordance with current regulations.
Compared to the Echelon 4.0C U-Notch version, this model maintains the same compact base but changes the sighting system to 3-Dot Tritium sights, with three tritium dots designed to provide a clear visual reference in various lighting conditions. It is an attractive option for users who prefer a more classic sight alignment over the U-Notch / U-Dot™ system.
The optics-ready machined slide allows for the mounting of compatible optics, while the 4” (101.6 mm) hammer-forged steel barrel with a Melonite® finish and 1:10 twist rate provides strength, durability, and excellent mechanical performance. Its black polymer frame, compact grip module, and interchangeable backstraps allow for adapting the grip to different users.
The Echelon 4.0C 3-Dot incorporates aggressive slide serrations, a forward trench, a flared slide, an oversized trigger guard, adaptive grip texture, ambidextrous controls, and textured indexing points. Additionally, it includes a flush-fitting 15-round magazine and an extended 18-round magazine, offering a good balance between compactness and capacity.
