Springfield Armory Echelon Comp U-Dot 4.5 Semi-Automatic Pistol
Caliber
Canyon
The Springfield Armory Echelon Comp U-Dot 4.5” is a 9mm semi-automatic pistol developed on the modular Echelon platform, but with a specific configuration that incorporates an integrated compensator and a 4.5-inch (114.3 mm) ported barrel. This version is designed for users looking for a modern, robust, optics-ready pistol with a setup oriented toward improving control during firing.
Unlike the Echelon U-Notch FDE or 4.5” Green versions, this model is not simply a color variant. The Comp U-Dot version incorporates a machined slide with an integrated compensator, a hammer-forged ported barrel with a Melonite® finish, and a U-Dot™ sight system, while maintaining the modular ergonomics, ambidextrous controls, and magazine capacity characteristic of the Echelon series.
The optics-ready slide allows for the mounting of compatible optics, while the sight system with a tritium/luminescent front dot and Tactical Rack U-Dot™ rear sight offers a quick and clear aiming reference. Its black polymer frame, Medium Grip Module, and interchangeable backstraps allow the grip to be adapted to different users.
The design of the Echelon Comp U-Dot 4.5” includes aggressive slide serrations, a forward trench, an oversized trigger guard, adaptable grip texture, and textured indexing points, offering a complete platform for sport shooting, service sidearms, and professional use in compliance with current regulations.
Key features
Integrated compensator
The main difference in this version is its integrated compensator, built into the slide. This configuration clearly distinguishes the Comp version from the standard Echelon 4.5” variants.
4.5-inch (114.3 mm) ported barrel
It is equipped with a 4.5” (114.3 mm) hammer-forged steel barrel with a Melonite® finish and a 1:10 twist rate, offering strength, durability, and good mechanical performance.
Optics-ready slide
The machined slide is prepared for the mounting of compatible optics, providing a modern configuration for users who want to work with a red dot.
U-Dot™ sight system
It incorporates a tritium/luminescent front dot and a Tactical Rack U-Dot™ rear sight, designed to facilitate rapid and clear acquisition of the aiming reference.
Modular Echelon design
The Echelon platform is based on a modular system with an internal chassis, an adaptable grip, and interchangeable backstraps, allowing the weapon's ergonomics to be adjusted to the user.
Adaptable grip
The Medium Grip Module, along with the optimized texture and interchangeable backstraps, promotes a firm, comfortable, and secure grip.
Ambidextrous controls
The ambidextrous controls make the weapon easy to handle for both right-handed and left-handed users, providing greater comfort and versatility.
Robust construction with black finish
The machined slide with a Melonite® finish and the black polymer frame offer a sober aesthetic and construction prepared for demanding use.
