The ZEISS SFL (SmartFocus Lightweight) binoculars are designed to offer a lightweight and compact observation experience. With the Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) concept, they ensure precise color reproduction and a high level of detail. The SmartFocus technology allows for fast and precise focusing, even while wearing gloves, thanks to its ergonomic focus wheel. By reducing the lens diameter by 2 mm, the SFL models are up to 30% lighter than similar products, reducing their weight and volume by 20% and 13%, respectively, compared to the ZEISS Victory SF.

The robust yet lightweight magnesium housing also increases durability and longevity—for future generations. The smaller lens diameter allowed us to use thinner lens elements that could be placed closer together. At the same time, the SFL binoculars offer perfect image quality despite the incredible reduction in weight and volume.

The Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) concept includes a special coating and an improved optical design, which allow the binoculars to ensure a maximum level of detail and faithful color reproduction. This makes it possible to accurately identify the smallest features of plumage and reliably distinguish between species.
SmartFocus concept for intuitive and precise handling
The SmartFocus concept allows you to focus quickly and precisely, without having to stretch your fingers. The focus wheel, perfectly positioned in the DoubleLink Bridge, offers the highest level of ergonomics, and only 1.4 turns are needed to go from close focus to infinity. Furthermore, it can be manipulated with precision even while wearing gloves.
90% light transmission
With 90% light transmission and the ZEISS T* multi-coating, you can clearly and accurately recognize details in twilight, capturing every moment with confidence even in low-light environments.
Comfortable observation experience
The perfect ergonomics of the ZEISS SFL models allow for quick and easy eye placement, while providing a comfortable and immersive viewing experience thanks to the large exit pupil. Additionally, the improved eyecups provide an even better ergonomic feel and a smooth transition between precisely defined and effortlessly accessible contact points.
ZEISS T* Coating
The ZEISS T* coating is a guarantee for brilliant, high-contrast images, which you will find especially useful in low-light conditions and at twilight. There is no specific formula for the layering; rather, it is a technology constantly adapted to new glass materials and requirements, which vary from one lens to the next.
