The Midland CT590 S is a dual-band (VHF/UHF) handheld transceiver designed for amateur radio operators and professionals looking for robust, versatile, and user-friendly equipment. Dual band with 128 programmable channels
It operates on the VHF (144–146 MHz) and UHF (430–440 MHz) frequency bands, with 128 programmable memory channels, allowing for great communication flexibility.
Adjustable transmission power
It offers an output power of up to 5W in VHF and UHF, with the option to select lower power levels to optimize battery consumption according to the needs of the environment.
Advanced features for secure communications
It includes 50 CTCSS tones and 208 DCS codes, allowing for the setting of subchannels for private communications. It also features 1750/1450/1000/2100 Hz repeater tones, facilitating access to repeaters.
VOX mode and other additional features
The VOX function allows for hands-free transmission by activating the transmitter via voice. Additionally, it features FM radio (87.5–108 MHz), stopwatch, channel scan, automatic power off, and SOS emergency function, among other features.
