Franchi Horizon Varmint rifle

The Horizon Varmint Black Synt takes the Horizon profile toward even more aggressive lines, covering another segment of hunting and shooting. Created in the United States for hunting harmful animals, the varmint rifle has different possible configurations, going beyond mere hunting activity. The Horizon Varmint Black Synt belongs to the varminter/long-range category, ensuring optimal ballistic precision even at long distances. With a burnished barrel and action, the Horizon Varmint Black Synt is offered in .308 WIN caliber, with an 11" twist rate—a non-typical choice for varminting, but highly suitable for projectiles ranging from 150 to 180 grains and for use at the shooting range. The fluted profile allows the center of gravity of the bolt action to be moved back, in addition to giving the rifle an attractive style. The result is a varmint rifle with perfectly distributed and balanced weight. The Relia Trigger is clean and crisp, with an adjustable pull weight from 0.8 to 1.9 kg, and contributes to increasing the ballistic precision, which, like all Horizons, has been tested to guarantee 1 M.O.A. for three shots. The Horizon Varmint stock comes standard with a medium cheek piece, which promotes an ideal neck and head position, even in the case of repeated shots during shooting range sessions. The sighting can be adjusted in height to improve the shooting position by fitting optional low or high cheek pieces. The Horizon Varmint features a two-position safety, with a free bolt, and two single-stack technopolymer magazines, expressly designed to facilitate cartridge chambering. The Dependa Bolt has three locking lugs with a 60° opening, a nickel-plated and fluted body, a lightened conical bolt handle, and can be easily disassembled for routine maintenance. The Horizon Varmint Black Synt comes with a muzzle brake and base installed. Like every Horizon bolt-action rifle, the Horizon Varmint Black Synt has a 7-year warranty on mechanical parts and is delivered with a 1 M.O.A. accuracy certificate for three shots.
