1. Adjustable comb

The multi-level adjustable comb is operated intuitively without tools – thanks to its memory function – and ensures a perfect mount in any situation. With this system, the comb can be adjusted to individual body proportions or different optical equipment in a matter of seconds.

2. Recoil Absorption System (RAS)

The recoil pad with the Recoil Absorption System is quick and easy to attach and is designed to provide a pleasant shooting experience – even with large calibers. The internal absorption elements are available with different degrees of hardness, which can be adjusted to the shooter's preferences and notably reduce muzzle climb when firing.

3. Adjustable recoil pad (ARP)

The ability to adjust the length, weight, and pitch of the recoil pad offers a wide variety of practical advantages. It can be adjusted quickly and easily for different shooters or, depending on weather conditions, for different clothing layers.

Main features

• BLASER precision trigger: the desmodromic trigger mechanism guarantees 100% hunting success. Even if iced over or dirty, the trigger system operates in a controlled manner and will function in the most adverse conditions. The 900g trigger turns your thought into action.
• BLASER saddle mount: the barrel and the mount form a precision unit: the notches on the top of the barrel, directly above the chamber, ensure a constant point of impact with the free-floating barrel.
• Optimal barrel bedding: the extensive barrel bedding in the robust receiver guarantees greater shooting precision after a barrel change. Stock deformation due to extreme weather never influences the barrel's position.
• BLASER radial bolt system: balance and precision: the robust concentric locking system locks directly into the barrel without rotational movement. The 14 locking lugs provide a 360-degree closure.
• Hammer-forged barrel and chamber: precision and durability: the barrel and chamber are cold hammer-forged in most calibers. The barrel and chamber are perfectly concentric.
• Perfect stock design: a relaxed hand position promotes accuracy. Blaser stocks, with their anatomical shape, provide an ideal grip. The thumbhole stocks of the R8 Success models go even further: thanks to a completely relaxed position of the wrist and arm, shooting accuracy is increased considerably in any shooting position.

 SAFE

• Manual cocking system: for decades, the Blaser manual cocking system has been a benchmark. It is known as one of the safest in the world. No mechanical system offers the safety of an uncocked mainspring. The R8 is cocked just before firing. If you do not fire, simply press the cocking lever to decock the rifle.
• Protection against unauthorized use: if the R8 trigger-magazine group is not in the rifle, the cocking lever cannot be set to the cocked position. This is therefore the best protection against unauthorized use!
• No involuntary opening: if the R8 is decocked and the bolt is closed, the bolt handle is locked. To open the bolt safely, simply move the cocking lever slightly forward (approx. 3mm/0.12"") while pulling the bolt handle back.

 RELIABLE

• Quick disassembly - easy cleaning: the R8 can be disassembled and reassembled in seconds. The R8 can be cleaned of snow, dirt, leaves, and pine needles at any time very easily.
• Controlled trigger system: maximum reliability – even if it ices over or gets very dirty, the R8 trigger system continues to work.
• Magazine lock: the R8 magazine is only unlocked by pressing both catches simultaneously. Unintentional activation or the magazine falling out is practically impossible. Furthermore, a tab located on the magazine allows for locking the magazine catches.
• Excellent protection: the construction of the R8 receiver prevents the entry of foreign objects. When the magazine is out of the rifle, a protective cover shields it from dirt. All metal parts are made of corrosion-resistant materials or are protected against corrosion. The interior of the barrel and chamber are burnished and only require conventional care.

 FAST

• Straight-pull bolt action: follow-up shots with great speed and a relaxed posture: the bolt handle remains in a very ergonomic position above the trigger guard. The rifle and eye remain on target to save time and ensure a perfect shot.
• ""Blind"" magazine change: the magazine release catches can be operated ""blind"" due to their perfect positioning on the trigger guard. By pressing both buttons at the same time, the magazine is released directly into your hand. A second magazine can be inserted quickly without looking.
• Dual loading options: the R8 can be loaded and unloaded in two ways: with the magazine removed or inserted in the rifle. With the bolt open, cartridges can also be loaded or unloaded from the top quickly and easily.

 MANEUVERABLE

• Short design: the design of the R8 magazine above the trigger allows the total length of the R8 to be significantly shorter than any conventional bolt-action rifle.
• Optimal balance: the balanced weight distribution promotes intuitive handling as well as a fast and fluid shooting position.
• Simple disassembly: the R8 is disassembled, stored, and reassembled in a few seconds without changing the point of impact.
