Cold hammer forging produces precise and durable barrels. During cold hammer forging, Tikka barrels are hammered from all sides against the mandrel inside the barrel, transferring the mirror image of the rifling machined on the surface of the mandrel.

The cold hammer-forged barrel gives you out-of-the-box accuracy without the need to break in the rifle. Extremely rigid action made of hardened steel with a two-lug T3x bolt.

The bolt features a spring-loaded plunger ejector and a removable bolt handle, with a 70° opening angle that leaves plenty of room for handling the bolt. In every shooting situation, the rifle always moves slightly, especially when the trigger is pulled.

That is why it is critical that the rifle's trigger is manufactured according to very strict tolerances. The minimum lock time of the rifle's trigger decreases the time between trigger engagement, trigger break, and the firing pin striking the primer. This results in excellent rifle trigger control and increased potential for accuracy.
