BUSHNELL TRS-26 Red Dot Sight

Product description

At the 2018 Shot Show, Bushnell introduced significant new developments to its red dot range, not only due to the number and variety of products presented, but also due to the technical innovations provided. One of these innovations is the evolution and successor of the TRS-25, the new TRS-26. The latter adopts an improvement shared with other references: an enhanced power system. This feature allows it to reach 50,000 hours of battery life, or more than five years. This feature is especially valued by tactical operators, who cannot afford a shutdown in the middle of a skirmish.

The objective diameter has been slightly increased to 26 mm; despite this, we can say that the optic remains very compact. This allows it to be used with practically any type of weapon, although rifles are its natural installation environment. In fact, it is a very good and popular solution for AR-15 style rifles in the US.

The red dot measures 3 MOAs and, as mentioned above, the battery life is over five years. The battery used is a standard CR2032 button cell, easily available in stores of all kinds. It has a 12-position brightness adjustment system using two push-buttons, allowing us to precisely adjust to our lighting needs. For example, it is not always good to use maximum brightness intensity in low-light environments, because you will get a blurred dot that is difficult to aim with precision.

The Bushnell TRS-26 is manufactured to be as resistant and durable as its predecessor was and still is. This new model moves from the previous Trophy range to the new AR OPTICS line, which gives it the characteristics of robustness and durability inherent to this product line. With its use at medium distances in mind, its dot size lends itself to working precisely with the Bushnell Transition 3x magnifier, although it is compatible with those from other brands.

Regarding optical characteristics, it follows the line of other BUSHNELL products with clear and sharp optics that ensure very good light transmission. The sight is parallax-free and maintains settings without issues after long shooting sessions. With bombproof reliability, it has a very good price-quality ratio compared to other options on the market.

Features:

Another member of the prolific AR OPTICS family, where rock-solid robustness is the main hallmark.

- Black color, made of aircraft-grade aluminum with a 3 MOA dot.
- Waterproof. These optics remain sealed thanks to the use of O-rings, even when submerged.
- Shockproof. Produced by impacts, falls, and the rugged environment of the battlefield, shooting range, or hunting grounds.
- Nitrogen purging makes it immune to fog and mist caused by humidity or sudden temperature changes.
