The HIKMICRO Panther PQ50L 2.0 LRF is a high-resolution thermal scope designed for observation and target location at long distances in open terrain, crops, paths, and mountainous areas. It combines a 640x512 pixel thermal sensor, 12 μm pixel pitch, and a thermal sensitivity of NETD less than 20 mK, offering a sharp image even when there is little temperature difference between the target and the background.
Its 50 mm F1.0 lens provides a 2.6x optical magnification and a detection range of up to 2,600 meters for a 1.7-meter target. The field of view of 15.39 x 12.29 meters at 100 meters offers a good balance between breadth, range, and the ability to analyze targets located at a great distance.*
The integrated LRF laser rangefinder allows for measuring distances between 10 and 600 meters, with an accuracy of ±1 meter. This information facilitates a more precise evaluation of the terrain and the target without the need for an independent rangefinder.
The 0.39-inch, 1024x768 pixel OLED display provides a sharp and high-contrast view. It features a continuous digital zoom from 1x to 8x, PIP mode, hot spot tracking, four thermal palettes, and different calibration options to adapt the image to each situation.
The Panther PQ50L 2.0 also allows for taking photographs, recording videos with audio, and automatically activating recording upon recoil detection. Its metal structure withstands impacts of up to 1,000 g for 0.4 ms, making it compatible with high-power calibers such as .375 H&H, 12 gauge, and 9.3 x 64.
It operates on a replaceable and rechargeable lithium-ion battery, with a minimum runtime of 5 hours per battery under test conditions. The package includes two batteries and an external charger, allowing for extended operating time during full-day sessions.
*The mounting system or rail for the weapon is optional and is not part of the standard contents supplied.
Main features
High-resolution thermal sensor
The 640x512 pixel thermal detector provides a detailed image that facilitates the location, differentiation, and observation of animals and other heat sources.
Thermal sensitivity NETD <20 mK
High thermal sensitivity allows for distinguishing small temperature variations, improving contour definition in conditions of humidity, rain, light fog, or low thermal contrast.
50 mm F1.0 lens
The 50 mm lens is specially oriented for mid- and long-range observation. Its F1.0 aperture favors good thermal radiation capture and a clear image.
Detection up to 2,600 meters
The Panther PQ50L 2.0 can detect a 1.7-meter thermal target at a distance of up to 2,600 meters, making it particularly suitable for large expanses and open terrain.
2.6x optical magnification
The base magnification of 2.6x provides a good balance between field of view and distance observation capability. It can be combined with the continuous digital zoom from 1x to 8x.
Integrated laser rangefinder
The integrated LRF allows for measuring distances from 10 to 600 meters, with an accuracy of ±1 meter, a wavelength of 905 nm, and a Class 1 laser.
1024x768 OLED display
The 0.39-inch OLED display offers a sharp, fluid, and high-contrast image for comfortable viewing over long periods.
Recoil-activated recording
The camera can automatically start recording when it detects recoil, allowing for the capture of moments before and after each action without having to manually activate the video.
Video recording with audio
The device allows for taking photographs and recording videos with sound directly onto its 16 GB internal memory.
High recoil resistance
The metal housing and internal components are designed to withstand recoil force of up to 1,000 g for 0.4 ms.
Two replaceable batteries
Each battery offers at least 5 hours of operation at 25 °C with the hotspot disabled. The two included batteries allow for up to approximately 10 hours of combined runtime.
Rugged design for extreme conditions
IP67 protection and an operating range between -30 °C and +55 °C allow the scope to be used in rain, dust, humidity, and demanding temperatures.
Other features
Four thermal palettes: allows selection between White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, and Fusion.
PIP mode: zooms in on a specific part of the image while keeping the general field of view visible.
Hot spot tracking: automatically identifies and marks the thermal source with the highest temperature within the scene.
Image calibration: offers automatic, manual, and external correction to maintain a stable image.
Tone adjustment: allows for selecting between cold and warm tones according to observation preferences.
Brightness adjustment: facilitates adapting the screen intensity to environmental conditions.
Standby mode: reduces power consumption when the scope is not being actively used.
Defective pixel correction: allows for correcting anomalous pixels to maintain image quality.
Wi-Fi connectivity: the hotspot allows for connecting the scope to a mobile device via the HIKMICRO Sight app.
External power supply: the USB Type-C port supports charging and powering via a compatible 5 V, 2 A external source.
45 mm eye relief: provides a comfortable and safe observation position during use.
