The Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42 F1 is a first focal plane riflescope designed for users seeking compact, robust, and precise optics for hunting, stalking, sport shooting, and medium-range precision applications. Its 4-16x magnification range offers a highly balanced combination of field of view, rapid acquisition speed, and the ability to identify targets in detail.
This model stands out for its compact format with a 320 mm length, a weight of 850 g, and a 34 mm main tube, a configuration designed for precision semi-automatic rifles, bolt-action rifles, and platforms where a rugged optic is needed without adding excessive volume to the setup.
The reticle is located on the first focal plane, meaning it increases and decreases proportionally along with the image. This allows its elevation and windage references to be used correctly at any magnification level, without depending on a specific zoom setting.
The ATACR 4-16x42 F1 incorporates the DigIllum™ illumination system, ZeroHold™ elevation turret, capped windage turret, parallax adjustment from 45 yards / 41 m to infinity, and a standard Power Throw Lever for rapid magnification changes.
It is available with six illuminated reticles: MOAR™ F1, MOA-XT™, MIL-C™ F1, MIL-R™ F1, MIL-XT™, and TREMOR3™, allowing for a choice between MOA or MRAD configurations depending on the shooter's preference.
