The Nightforce NX8 2.5-20x50 F2 is a second focal plane rifle scope designed to offer great versatility in hunting, stalking, and sport shooting at various distances. Its 8x zoom ratio and 2.5-20x magnification range allow for a wide field of view at lower magnifications and provide the necessary detail to observe and target objects at greater distances.
Its 50 mm objective lens is optimized to provide a clear, sharp, and bright image under varying environmental conditions. Despite its magnification capability, it features a compact design of only 308 mm in length, facilitating its installation on bolt-action rifles, semi-automatic rifles, and setups where reducing the overall bulk is desired.
The reticle is located in the second focal plane, so it maintains the same visual size when changing magnification. It is available with the Mil-CF2™ reticle, paired with 0.1 MRAD adjustments, and the MOAR-CF2™ reticle, configured with 0.25 MOA adjustments.
The ZeroStop™ elevation turret allows for quick and repeatable corrections back to the original zero setting. The windage turret remains protected by a cap, reducing the risk of unintentional adjustments during transport or field use.
The side parallax adjustment from 10 meters to infinity, DigIllum™ digital illumination, and the Power Throw Lever complete a robust optic prepared for hunting, stalking, and medium to long-range shooting.

Second focal plane (F2)
The reticle maintains the same visual size throughout the entire magnification range, offering a constant, clean, and easy-to-identify reference.
50 mm objective lens
The 50 mm front lens provides a good balance between brightness, resolution, external dimensions, and mounting height.
Mil-CF2™ reticle
The C638 variant incorporates the Mil-CF2™ reticle, featuring a floating center dot and MRAD references. It is paired with turrets featuring 0.1 MRAD per click adjustments.
MOAR-CF2™ reticle
The C639 variant equips the MOAR-CF2™ reticle, with MOA references and 0.25 MOA per click adjustments.
ZeroStop™ elevation turret
The ZeroStop™ system allows for elevation corrections and subsequent return to zero in a quick, precise, and repeatable manner.
Capped windage turret
The side turret is protected by a cap to reduce the risk of accidental adjustments during transport and field use.
DigIllum™ illumination
The DigIllum™ system offers digital reticle illumination, improving visibility against dark backgrounds and in low-light situations.
Parallax adjustable from 10 meters
The side knob allows for parallax correction from 10 meters to infinity, facilitating a sharp image at different observation distances.
