The Osight R is a closed-emitter red dot sight designed for rifles intended for short- to medium-range shooting.
Its large 28 × 22 mm window provides a clear field of view that facilitates rapid target acquisition and transitions between different points. The multi-reticle system allows for the selection of a 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA circle, or a combination of both.
The optional 1.21″ and 1.93″ mounts are not included.
Multi-reticle system
The Osight R allows for switching between three reticle configurations:
- 2 MOA dot
- 65 MOA circle
- 2 MOA dot with 65 MOA circle
The 2 MOA dot provides a precise reference, while the 65 MOA circle promotes faster target acquisition. The combination of both offers a balance between speed and precision.
Closed emitter
The enclosed optical system protects the emitter from water, dust, and other debris that could interfere between the light source and the lens.
This configuration helps keep the reticle visible and the sight operational in adverse environmental conditions.
Wide viewing window
The 28 × 22 mm window facilitates a wide view of the surroundings and helps maintain focus on the target during position changes.
The lens with multi-layer coatings improves light transmission and reticle sharpness in different lighting conditions.
Micro T1/T2 footprint
The Osight R uses the popular Micro T1/T2 footprint, compatible with a wide variety of mounts.
It includes a 1.535″ (3.89 cm) lower 1/3 co-witness mount. It can also be used with optional 1.21″ and 1.93″ mounts, which are not included.
Twelve brightness levels
It features 12 intensity levels to adapt the reticle to different lighting conditions.
The NV button allows for quick switching between daylight settings and levels compatible with night vision devices. The memory function recalls the last used brightness level upon reactivating the sight.
MAT™ motion activation
The MAT™ (Motion Activation Technology) automatically turns on the reticle when it detects motion.
After a period of inactivity, the sight turns off to reduce battery consumption and reactivates when it detects new movement.
Up to 83,000 hours of battery life
The Osight R uses a CR2032 battery and can reach up to 83,000 hours of operation at level 5, depending on the selected reticle.

The low battery indicator alerts you when it is recommended to replace the battery.
Protective covers and anti-reflective device
Includes two covers to protect the lenses during transport and storage.
It also incorporates an ARD (anti-reflective device), designed to reduce reflections on the front lens. The cover system is compatible with this accessory.
Rugged construction
The housing is CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, offering high strength and durability.
Its IPX8 waterproof rating allows for use in adverse weather conditions.
